Another week of focusing on kindness in 1st grade, another round of recognitions!

During our shelter in place, Mr. Kesler our art teacher shared his skill of storytelling to pass the time with our students!

Sunset Sprinters are already underway! Yesterday was week 2 of our Run Club. These students take time after school to run their laps. We recognized our 5 mile run club this morning - Congrats to the following:
Brayden - 3rd grade
Alex, Dominic, Finnegan, Grayson, Rizwan, and Nasir - 4th grade
Lincoln - 5th grade

Remison, 1st Grade, Mrs. Reps, was our top American Heart fundraiser for the whole school. Also, first grade as a whole as the most fundraisers in the school. Way to go Remison!

Our first graders have been focused on kindness through our Character Strong social emotional curriculum since the start of April. The following students were recognized by their teacher, Ms. Hutchins our school counselor, and our administration at our 1st grade assembly.

Our 4th grade team paid a visit to the local Paws and Claws to deliver all the no-sew blankets they made and goodies that were donated for all the four legged friends! Our students toured the building and were able to see firsthand the impact of their generious and hard working gifts!

Sunset Terrace celebrated World Down Syndrome Day with the entire school by mismatching our socks to continue to bring awareness to the importance of Inclusion!

This week is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month Dress Up Week. Students celebrated another Unified breakfast this morning as well as wore their favorite color on Wednesday!
